Alignment & scope
What this is aligned with, what it is not, and what is deliberately absent.
Aligned, not certified
These tests mirror the behaviours in Wi-Fi Alliance certification test plans, so you can shake out issues in-house before submitting to an accredited lab — DEKRA, Element, Sporton, UL. MangoWiFi is not an Authorized Test Lab, and a passing run here does not issue a Wi-Fi CERTIFIED™ mark.
Deliberately out of scope
- RF conformance — EVM, spurious emissions, EIRP and transmit-mask conformance all need a chamber and a vector signal analyser. Genuinely out of scope, not merely unimplemented.
- Wi-Fi Direct, Aware, EasyMesh, Passpoint — Peer-to-peer, mesh and hotspot programmes are a different story from AP performance.
- Matter, MFi CarPlay, PTCRB — Different programme families requiring formal lab status this project will not hold.
- HaLow (802.11ah) — Sub-1 GHz silicon; the MT7925 does not cover it.
Coverage is rated per row
Catalogued WFA rows carry a coverage rating rather than a bare claim. A full-coverage row can be genuinely equivalent to the certification behaviour; a functional one tells you the feature works, not that an accredited lab would accept the PHY layer alongside it.
